Time Saving Tips for Working Mummas

Writer's picture: Courtney StollCourtney Stoll

Here is a list of the top 7 tips from other mummas about how to save time during the week. It is so hard to juggle everything and at times, remembering what you need to be juggling is a chore in itself.

1. Have extra baskets for the laundry that spills over and never gets put away! haha, but seriously.

2. Hire a cleaner to come once a fortnight to do the bigger jobs like showers, toilets, ironing, mopping. This will be a huge help and free up some of your time once you are home from work! Or schedule in a family member for these jobs ;)

3. Use a slow cooker for meals! Just throw in the ingredients in the morning and no need to worry about it all day and then when it comes to that time at the end of the day when you are asked what is for dinner, you have it ready!

4. Setup Sunday! Meal plan and groceries completed. Prepare meals for the week, whether that be lunches or write down what will be for dinner. Taking the thinking and preparing out of the process frees up some time during the week.

5. Online grocery orders! Whether it be click and collect or delivery, this saves you going to the store.

6. Have you tried a meal service? Marley Spoon, Dinnerly or Hello Fresh. Even if it is only a few nights a week, those are your nights off when you can concentrate on quality time with family!

7. Last but not least, just accept the chaos. You can't do everything everyday. You need to give yourself some grace and accept that the moments you are missing by stressing over something like laundry is not worth it!
